365 Cards: Thinking of You at Christmas...

Happy Monday! Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving! Today I'm back to share another Christmas card using one of my favorite stamp sets called White Christmas :)

I used some of the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper and stamped my scene directly onto the patterned paper, then stamped the same image onto some Whisper White cardstock, then cut it out, lined it up to my stamped Designer Series Paper, then glued it down! The tree trunks were colored in using a marker and I stamped then cut out a polar bear and star. So easy and so cute when it was all done!

This set is definitely one I'll continue using year to year... it's so versatile and fun to use.

365 Cards: Silent Night

Happy almost Thanksgiving! Another Christmas card to share today :)

I had fun watercoloring on this card! I first stamped in versamark and then used white embossing powder to create my tree and snow scene, then watercolored over the top with Night of Navy and Elegant Eggplant.

It was a fun, quick card that would be easy to mass produce!

365 Cards: Let it Snow. Let It Snow. Let It Snow.

Happy Monday! Today I have a Christmas card to share with you... :)

This is our fun new stamp set Happy Scenes! There is a fun window framelit set that it coordinates with that I've used here today... it cuts the window and a window box! :)

To make the holly in the window box, I used the holly stamp from Snow Place and stamped into a line, then hand cut it out. It made for a fun addition to the window box I think... :)

365 Cards: Thankful For You

A quick, fun thank you card to share with you today!

Isn't that bear just too cute?! :) I love this stamp set! And I just had to use some of that woodgrain paper again!!

See those cute wooden leaves?! They are part of a set of wooden embellishments that coordinate with this stamp set and patterned paper -- so much fun to use! Also, I CASE-d the catalog a bit -- the sentiment is an exact copy of the stamping on a card! :)

365 Cards: Let it Snow!!

Welcome to another JAX Starz Blog Hop! This month our challenge is a sketch challenge!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Rose Ann Marr's blog.  You can follow the full blog hop lineup below to move along from blog to blog, so you can see all of the new projects.

I saw more than a few cards where people put antlers on the penquin and... well... I just couldn't resist!

And here is the sketch that we used:

It's a fun sketch, so if you decide to use it, I hope you'll share the card you made with me!

Some Stampin' Tips:
  • Repeating elements. When I first started making this card, I did not have any snowflakes stamped on the white paper behind my little penguin guy and it looked empty. So I looked to the patterned paper that I was using as my background and repeated the snowflakes on my white cardstock by reversing the colors -- the patterned paper was Night of Navy blue with white snowflakes so I stamped my white background with Night of Navy snowflakes! It really gives the card a fun look.
  • Mix n' Match Stamps. I do this all the time... don't be afraid to mix your stamp sets... there is no hard and fast rule that you can only use one stamp set on your cards! :)
  • Pop of Color. So I needed some contrast on my card... there was lots of dark colors with the blue and black. So I added the Cherry Cobbler to really make the sentiment stand out and frame my penguin! It's always a good idea to add some pops of color to your cards.
Alright, that's all I have for today's hop..... the next stop is Beka Laing on this month's Jax Starz Blog Hop! Make sure you go check out all the fantastic ideas... I just know that everyone will have some amazing ideas to share today. Thanks for visiting and I'll see you next time! :)

365 Cards: Give Thanks for All Things

So far I've hit all the holidays coming up except Thanksgiving... well today I thought I'd share a Thanksgiving themed thank you card! :)

I actually CASE-d this card and updated it a bit by using our current fall themed patterned paper and changing up the way that the sentiment is stamped.

This stamp set is a classic and I love using it! It's perfect for thank you cards, Thanksgiving or fall projects.
