Lots of baby cards around here lately... been going to lots of baby showers! I needed a quick easy card and I've been dying to use the Celebrate Today stamps and dies... they've been sitting on my desk for quite a while!
A quick wash of the background with my Aqua Painter and some Pool Party ink, then I stamped over it with the Gorgeous Grunge stamps. For such a simple card.... you probably wouldn't guess how many stamp sets I used on this one! :)
And here is the sketch we all used today:
It's a fun sketch... I hope you'll try it out! :)
Some Stampin' Tips:
- Simple for the win. You don't have to put a lot on your card to make it complete... the key is to do some simple layers, limit the number of colors you use, and use lots of white space!
- Shimmery White Paper. You can't really tell from the photos, but shimmery white paper is where it is at! It's the white background on this card and in person, you can see there are tons of little tiny specs of glitter embedded in the paper. It's an easy way to add some "wow" to your cards! :)
- Fussy Cutting. That's the fancy name for an easy to use technique! I "fussy cut" that cute little monkey out! All that you do is stamp it and cut it out close to the image... easy as could be and a great way to add some fun accents to your projects!
