Sneak Peek Card from Convention... !!!

Hello from Convention!! I'm having a blast and cannot wait to share everything when I get home. In the meantime I wanted to share something fun!

I took a Master Class tonight for the upcoming Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit and Stampin' Up! challenged us to make and share a card using the contents of the kit.... So here is my contribution!

You're all going to love this kit.. So much fun and so cute!! Best part? It makes 20 cards, comes with all the envelopes and only costs $24.95 plus tax, s&h!! You can't buy store bought cards for that price.

Who wants to host a Christmas card party? :)

365 Cards: Hello Lobster... Punched Notches for Ribbon Tutorial Video

Here is the last of the three cards for this month's Stamp of the Month Club! This month's video is to show you how to quickly punch notches to tie your ribbon in... I had seen it done on more than a few cards and wanted to share with you the fastest way I found to recreate that look.

And using this stamp set this month wouldn't be complete without using my favorite stamp in the set... the lobster!! :)

I continue to work on my filming and editing skills so I hope you can see the improvement! :)

So are you going to dig out a circle punch and try this technique on your next card?!

365 Cards: You Made My Day

Back again today with another one of this month's Stamp of the Month Club cards!

Today I am highlighting the cute seahorse stamp in the set!

To make a clean edge between the script stamp and the coral stamp, I simply put several post-it notes to make a straight line so that it creates a clean line between the stamped images.  I finished that line between the two images by using it to line up my linen thread.

The seahorse and seashell were stamped, then carefully cut out (aka "fussy cut") and then adhered to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I think this is another clean and simple card to make that anyone would be happy to receive!

What do you think?!

365 Cards: Happy Together

Welcome to another Stamp of the Month Club!

This month I am highlighting the By the Tide stamp set -- one of my most used stamp sets! I know that last month I showcased a similar set and my love for lobsters.... well... here's another month of sea creatures and lobsters. ;)

My husband and I enjoy stream fishing together.... so I wanted to make a fun card that I could add to my stash to give him at some point. I think he will love this one! ;)

To finish off the simple stamped background, I added some linen thread and a small punched heart on a Stampin' Dimensional to finish the card.  This month's sentiments come from one of my other favorite sets A Dozen Thoughts and you could easily replicate this design with any sentiment stamps you have on hand.

So court of public opinion... do you think my husband will like this card?!
