365 Cards: I'm So Grateful There's You in the World

A bright, happy card to share today.  And I have to say this about today's card.... I didn't love this paper at first, but now it is really growing on me.  I'm loving the bright beautiful flowers!! :)

Lots of layering of punches, die cuts and stamps on this card.  I think my favorite thing I did was the texture on the flower -- I stamped the heart image from the Chalk Talk stamp set, then punched it out with the punch that looks like a flower from the Punch Pack punches. Added some leaves using the bird punch! :)

Would you like to receive this card? :)

365 Cards: You Make Me Happy

I made this card as a request for my girl Erin :)

She loved this card design in a different color combo but wanted to have it in the In Color bundle that she purchased.

Outside my normal wheelhouse, it was a lot of inky fun with sponges and I had fun trying something different!

If you like this technique... I'll be teaching it next month in workshops and classes!

Have you ever used the sponging technique on your paper crafting projects?

365 Cards: Greetings to India from California!

Earlier this month, I was hired to make some design and make twenty cards for my friend Francis.  She spent most of this month in India for Rotary International!!

Francis wanted something small that would fit easily into her bags that she could give to her hosts along with some gifts.  Something that represented California and the area that we live in.  Something with John Steinbeck quotes.  So this is what I came up with her!!

I overlaid the Steinbeck quotes on a picture of the Salinas Valley in My Digital Studio, printed them out on my printer, cut them down to size and glued them to the inside of the card!  These were so much fun!

I hope that Francis has had the BEST time in India -- I can't wait to see pictures!!  My favorite part of these cards ended up being those quotes.  The one in the middle is my favorite.

Which quote do you like the best?

The March Stamp of the Month is Six-Sided Sampler (one of my favorites!) and here is the second of the three handmade cards that will be included in your kit:

Lots of flowers and butterflies.... so much fun!

Love the colors in this patterned paper!!

And just like yesterday... sharing the boxes of my favorite girls from the meeting!  Here is the box that Brianne made:

And here is Zarogina's card:

She used the Fabulous Florets set instead of Petal Parade and stamped her own patterned paper! :)

365 Cards: Thinking of You

Two weeks ago, I held a team meeting for my Stampin' Up! downline.  We talked taxes, food, crafting and I also taught them how to make a card in a box, as well as this simple card:

I actually saw this card layout and loved it, so I added a second cardstock mat and changed out the patterned paper being used.  It would be a great card sketch to get rid of extra scraps of patterned paper! :)

Brianne's card turned out super cute:

She opted to use the opposite side of the piece of patterned paper I used!  Somehow I missed getting a photo of Kat's card.... sigh.... oops!  It was also very cute!

My upline, Zarogina, joined us via Skype and made this version using a completely different Designer Series Paper collection and coordinating colors:

I love it!!  Totally versatile sketch, not to mention two of my favorite new punches.... the Scalloped Tag Topper used to make this super cute tag and the Banner used to make the adorable banner pieces.

Didn't Bri and Zarogina make some cute cards?!

365 Cards: Thanks for Being Mine

Almost there.... one more day after this and I'll be taking quite a break from the Valentines and love themed cards!! :)  Today's card is one of the simplest I have made and one of my favorites too.

Before I embossed, I stamped my sentiment, then aligned the embossing folder along the bottom of the sentiment.  I ran it through the Big Shot, then re-positioned the embossing folder along the top of the sentiment and ran it through the Big Shot again.

I've been wanting to try doing that, and I will definitely be trying that technique again!

What do you think of this one?! :)
