So up first.... a happy birthday card:

I had so much fun making this card! It may be hard to tell, but I actually layered color after color of heat embossing powders:

I simply went one layer at a time... first white lattice on the bottom (stamp, powder, heat), then green (stamp, powder, heat)... and so on until I had all the flowers I wanted! I added a few rhinestones, some ribbon and my sentiment to finish it off.
It is a fun technique - have you ever tried it?!
Supplies for this project:
Stamps: Summer Silhouettes, Perfect Punches
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink: VersaMark, Tempting Turquoise
Punches: Extra-Large Oval, Decorative Label
Other: Stampin' Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Embossing Powders (White, Gumball Green, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise), Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon (retired)

Great card! I've never thought about using multiple embossing colours on the same card. I've got to give this a try!
ReplyDeleteI love the layered embossing! I've never tried that. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are great - hope you'll link up at 52 Card Pickup again this week!
