I can't believe it's almost the end of 2011!! I've been looking forward to sharing this project -- I started over the weekend using some stuff in my stash and I'm so looking forward to working on this album throughout the month! I'm going to share a bunch of photos, ready?! :)
Here's the blank chipboard album I started with from my stash:

I used a red misting product to turn my cover red. I was obsessed with having a red cover after seeing several I liked on Pinterest! I used the Stampin' Up Four Frames stamps, Cherry Cobbler ink, Whisper White cardstock, Basic Black cardstock and the decorative label punch to make the tag base:

For the spine I added a glossy coated Santa, as inspired by Ali Edwards:

Isn't he a cute Santa?! :) I also have all my blank date pages printed, trimmed and ready to go:

I made a title page - it's a combination of printing with hand stitching using a paper piercer/needle/thread and then matting on a Cherry Cobbler cardstock base. Pages are 6x8.5" in size:

On the next page, I have a calendar which I intend to use as a sort of table of contents. Again, inspired a la Pinterest!!

Of course, I have to bust out and use my favorite Cherry Cobbler baker's twine:

The saying is embossed using Cherry Cobbler emboss powder and the dates were old stamps in the stash inked with Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink:

While I finish up the last half of my page dividers, my first page for today is ready for action!

Snowflake is from the exclusive Stampin' Up! Northern Frost Sizzlits die:

And I glittered the number using Heat and Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds glitter:

I can't wait to get to working on this! I'm so looking forward to the holidays! I'll be back from time to time as I work on this project to share my progress. Are you doing a December Daily album? Share a link and I'll be sure to go check it out! :)

So I found you in the Flickr Group. LOVE your album. I'm doing this for the first time & a little overwhelmed trying to make it "wonderful". Love your approach. I think I may steal a few of your ideas if that's ok. Like the look of your "table of contents" & making the numbers "sparkle". Thanks for the inspiration!! Can't wait to see what the rest looks like.
